Xiaomi corporation, the Chinese company of electronics has launched first monitor under it’s sub brand ‘Redmi’ in China. It is called as Redmi Display 1A. With a near edge-to-edge sleek body, the Display 1A has a unique design. The best part is that it costs just Rs 6500. Isn’t that too good to be true? Well, it is the truth.
If and when the Xiaomi decides to bring it to the global markets, it will surely give people a run for their money. But till then we can just gawk looking at it’s sleek design online.
It comes with a single 23.8-inch screen size and an IPS LCD panel. The resolution is 1080p with 16:9 aspect ratio.
If we look at it’s features closely we can say it is designed to provide immersive multimedia experiences on a budget.
The monitor is capable of providing 250 nits of brightness and 1000:1 contrast ratio.
Just like Xiaomi’s TV, Xiaomi’s first monitor also has 178-degree viewing angles.
The Display 1A’ key attraction is its design as it is paper slim being just 7.3mm at its thinnest point. The screen even streches from edge-to-edge but there’s a noticeable chin — relative to the other sides. The design still remains to be the standout feature and more so considering the low price.
It comes with two ports HDMA and VGA , both of which are great options. It also carries 3 years of warranty which is amazing to get at that low cost. It has a power button and power inlet port at the back.. Since the monitor has thin bezels, it can be assumed that Xiaomi suggests that it can be used for a multi-monitor setup. This is a super-handy feature for artists and gamers. However, the screen type and resolution can’t be said to be the best one for professionals.
It has been launched in China at CNY 599 which roughly translates to 6,500 rupees. We are awaiting the global arrive of Redmi Display 1A. Let’s see if the company even launches it in the global market or not. If it does, it will be a hit.
