Lucifer so far has been resurrected twice. Since season 3 the supernatural crime drama bagged a good amount of fan following but FOX cancelled the show and left fans in awe. But Netflix came to the rescue and picked up the series in season 4 and planned to end the show after the fifth season.
The 16th episode of the fifth season was believed to be the end of the devil’s story but in a twist, the show makers decided to change the plot and got creative with it. In June, Netflix announced that the show will return for a sixth and final season. It appears that the cast of show would be equally ecstatic about it
Yet again, the makers of Lucifer and Netflix renewed the show for season 6 but this time it is going to be the end of the show and as per DB woodside who plays Amenadiel the show has one hell of an ending.
Woodside confessed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “It was a little strange because we were all kind of wrapping it up,” “I think the writers did some reshuffling.”
The same writers were behind the first part of Season 5 which was a 8-episode stint and created a lot of anticipation amongst the fans about the second half of the season which is to be out in 2021. The writers are reshuffling the script so the storyline can be extended further and the behind the scenes crew has already planned how lucifer is going to end. Woodside told Entertainment Tonight, “Without giving too much away… they already know how it’s going to end.
Woodside didn’t reveal much but has hinted that the season 6 will please the crowd. Woodside said “The ending that they had planned, now they’re just going to stretch it out a little bit and allow all of our characters some space and room and to breathe and maybe even tell some more stories about each of the characters,” “Our fans are going to get a chance to see us in different ways before we get to the end. So, I think the sixth season is really for the fans.”
Netflix is yet to come up with the premiere date for its season 6 of Lucifer. But season 1 to 5A are available on the platform.
