In government hospitals, Doctore has to treat more than 1000 patients. Yes! sometimes they can also get irritated. It does not mean that the patient should blame them, as this has happened many times in the country.
Between all these, a strange incident came from Ajmer, Rajasthan. According to a video being viral on social media, a woman has alleged that when she went to get treatment on a dog bite, the doctor instructed her to ‘bite back the dog’.
Yes! You heard it right.
Pravin Balotiya, the accused doctor, has denied all allegations. “I did not say any such thing. Rather it was the patient who used caste-based abuses. She asked my name several times and used caste-based abuses,” he said. The video shows the woman saying, “I don’t even know what caste you belong to. Someone tell me what caste he is from. There had been some argument between us but the matter was resolved amicably.”
Following an uproar, the chief medical health officer constituted a four-member committee to look into the matter. “We have seen the video and ordered an inquiry. The statement of the accused doctor and others will be recorded to verify the accusations,” said Dr. Sampat Singh Jodha, additional chief medical officer, Ajmer. The committee will also reach out to the woman, he said.
