On 30th May, PM Modi and his ministers took oath for the second term of the Modi government. In this oath ceremony, most of the ministers reached with their luxury car and complete security. But there was also a leader who was riding on a bicycle to take oath in the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
His name is Mansukh Mandviya, a Member of Parliament from Gujarat. He is known for his simplicity as well as being the leader of the BJP. In the previous cabinet of PM Modi, he had the Ministry of Shipping and Chemicals and Fertilizers. Then he was often spotted visiting the Parliament in Cycle.
Expressing his gratitude towards Modi and Shah, Mandaviya said, “Narendra Modi ji and Amit Shah ji have shown trust in me once again and invited me to be a part of this government. I am grateful to both of them.”
He even explained the benefits of riding a bicycle:
Explaining why cycling is his passion, Mandaviya said, “It is eco-friendly, it saves fuel and keeps you physically healthy.”
