Nestle finally admitted there are dangerous leads in Maggi. Court asked, Why one should eat Maggi?


Maggie or noodles are loved by everyone. Whether you are of any age, eating Maggi gives a different pleasure. Quickly prepared noodles reign in the hearts of children and the elderly. It is not only made quickly but also tastes good. In such a case, if you eat noodles and that’s the Nestle’s noodles, then this is the news for you.

In the year 2015, Maggie was surrounded by controversies. At that time Maggi was banned by the government, but after a few days, the company proved its quality and then got back into the market. Kids are very interested in Neste’s Maggi, but now after this news, you will think about a hundred times before feeding your child Maggi. In fact, in the Supreme Court, the company’s lawyer has admitted that Maggi has poisonous leads, which are very dangerous.

Nestlé India welcomes the orders passed by Hon’ble Supreme Court today.
Nestlé India had challenged two interim orders of National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) before the Hon’ble Supreme Court in 2015.  As per directions of Hon’ble Supreme Court, samples were sent to Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI) and the analysis results showed that samples were compliant for Lead and other relevant parameters. 

The appeal filed by Nestlé India against the two interim orders passed by National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) came up for hearing today. As per the lawyers  who appeared for Nestle, Hon’ble Supreme court in view of reports received from CFTRI, has agreed with Nestlé’s contention and has set aside both the interim orders passed by NCDRC which were challenged by Nestle.

The Supreme Court has also directed that the reports received from CFTRI will be the basis for proceedings before NCDRC. Full details will be known only after receipt of the order by the Company.
