Heavy rain hits Mumbai, which has brought relief to the people, due to heavy rains, the temperature has dropped to 27 degrees Celsius, though due to heavy rains, the situation of traffic and waterlogging has appeared in certain areas. There is waterlogging in Dharavi area of Mumbai due to which the effect falls on traffic, while it is raining heavily in Palghar adjacent to Mumbai. It is also raining in Santa Cruz, Andheri, Borivali and Kandivli and its impact has also been affected on Mumbai’s locals.
Due to heavy rains in Mumbai, many local trains are running late, most people going to the office are facing problems, according to the Meteorological department, the period of heavy rain can still continue, Aurangabad also has good rainfall since Thursday night.
In the next 48 hours, there can be up to 100 mm in Mumbai. Earlier, the Meteorological Department had said on Thursday that the monsoon has reached Mumbai as well as the Konkan region of South Gujarat, which can cause heavy rains for the next few days.
Weather information agency SkyMet, estimating heavy rains in Mumbai, said that in the next 48 hours, there could be up to 100 mm in Mumbai. Skymet had also projected heavy rains in Mumbai besides Alibag, Kolhapur, Nagpur, Palghar, Pune, Raigad, and Thane.
