Deepika Padukone recalls the criticism she received for Om Shanti Om

In a recent interview, she said that she had faced a lot of criticism and hate after Om Shanti Om’s release in 2008. She says that a particular section keeps on criticizing her work without any reason. She said that people used to think that models cannot act in the movies. Such types of comments and hateful articles for a girl of 21 years old is tough to handle.

But she has faced all this with courage. She never allows such things to take over her negatively; instead, she takes them positively and keeps on improving in her career. She says that criticism motivates her to improve and work hard in her career.

Deepika also stated that failures had taught her a lot, and she has taken all these most positively. She was grateful for those criticism, failures, etc. because it also motivates her to perform better every day.
